General information only
The content of this site is patient education. It describes what produces an eye bag, who tends to do well with treatment, and what treatment costs in recovery and risk. It is not a diagnosis, it is not a treatment recommendation for any individual, and it does not create a doctor-patient relationship.
No substitute for examination
Whether an eye bag is fat, skin or fluid depends on findings that can only be established by examining you: how the lids behave in movement, what lies under the skin, how the tissue responds to being lifted, and your medical history. Reading this site cannot substitute for that, and a decision made from a website alone is a decision made without information.
Results vary and are not guaranteed
Individual results differ. Healing takes months and the final appearance is judged at 6 to 12 months. No surgeon, and no website, can guarantee an outcome, and any statement that appears to promise one should be treated with suspicion wherever you encounter it.
If something is wrong after surgery
If you have had surgery and develop rapidly increasing swelling, a tense painful area, spreading redness, fever, bleeding that does not stop, sudden visual change, or new double vision, contact the treating team or seek emergency care immediately rather than waiting to be seen at a routine appointment.
